UnCiv (Mobile)

Moving on to something more along the lines of Free and Open Source, Unciv is a very minimalist but not a dumbed down equivalent to Civilization V. If you ever played a Civilization game before, you know what to expect with Unciv. You pick a nation, start off with your first city, and progress throughout the ages, acquiring new territory, technology, and culture and you either try to win a Cultural, Domination, or Scientific victory. Unlike previous Civilization games, everything is on a hex based system and there isn't any unit stacking like the older games. Unciv plays rather well on a mobile device or tablet.

If you ever wanted a portable Civilization game without shelling out money a dumbed down mobile game or buying one of those ultra portable mini pcs, Unciv is a nice way to get your Civilization fix on the go with the only compromise being the simplistic graphics. It's free (as in freedom and as in beer) so you got nothing to lose if you want to try it out.
